Tonight I received a phone call from John Brentlinger, author of The Best of What We Are. Leslie Penrose, the pastor at Community of Hope (webpage out of date), gave him my contact information, because he wants to interview members of COH for a new book that he's writing.
It just so happens that two and a half years ago, when I was trying to learn about Nicaragua before going there for the first time, the book that I picked out at the library was The Best of What We Are. Tonight, as I'm preparing for my third trip to Nicaragua, I got to speak with the author who effectively introduced me to the country.
