A few photos

DC has some really beautiful neighborhoods. Why can't new houses be cool? These pictures are taken from my window, on the third floor of a roomy row house:

I was unaware that Ginkgo Biloba trees grew to such heights. So I had to take a picture of this one outside my window. It's four generous stories tall.

I lived on Appleton Street off Connecticut in NW DC for a while VOP year. Not sure if they've started dropping yet, but once the seed pods (or whatever) from the Ginko trees start to fall...

Yuck.

They smell bad like you wouldn't believe, and get on your shoes, and you track it around... Ginko trees are not your friend :-) Hope you're enjoying DC!

No, I haven't noticed any seed pod problems yet... luckily (I guess) I'm moving to a different house in a week, so I'll probably miss the whole thing.

Hey Sarah,
Only the females drop the seeds and they are a delicacy in Japan. Ansel ate one as an infant and I had to find out all about them.

Glad you are happy.
