The last two years, I´ve lit a candle on September 11th and left it burning all day. It reminds me to think about all those lives that were lost, and how each one was a tragedy for that person´s family and friends. Ripples of sadness radiating outwards... I want to make sure that while I strongly disagree with the way Bush has handled things from September 11th forwards, the people who died still deserve to have their memories honored without being tainted by all that followed the attacks.
I regret that this year I didn´t do anything to recognize the anniversary. Life continued as usual down here.
